‘Return to the Skies’ signed Canvas

On the 75th Anniversary of Battle of Britain Day – 15th September 2015 – Tom Neil returned to the skies in the rear seat of Sptifire SM520 as part of the Goodwood commemorative flypast, involving more than 30 Spitfires & Hurricanes.

The image captures the moment Tom took off from the old RAF Westhampnett and is available in two sizes. The canvas also comes with an exclusive, A4 card – written and signed especially by Tom to go with the canvasses, describing his experiences of that day.

IMG_2136‘Cockpits full of Ghosts’ signed Canvas

Taken at the Duxford 75th Battle of Britain Anniversary show on 19th September 2015. 15 Spitfire’s & 2 Seafire’s took the sky in a tribute to the ‘Few’, performing a big wing flypast.

This image captures 16 of the aircraft in what was an unforgettable and moving tribute. The image title resonates from something Geoffrey Wellum once said after witnessing a similar commemorative flypast – ‘I don’t consider myself an emotional person but, watching those spitfires getting airborne, I felt a lump in my throat and I had to fight for self control because their cockpits were full of ghosts; old friends. So they were friendly ghosts.’
